Not many big box stores in that area. If you head West on Route 2 into Leominster, there's the Mall at Whitney Field. Or you can take Route 2 East to 128 North to Burlington, and there's the Burlington Mall. Or, you can take I-495 South to I-290 West and 1 exit down, there's the Solomon Pond Mall. Not sure which one's the closest, but they're all about 15-20 miles from you. If you're just looking for a Home Depot, there's one on Main St. in Tewksbury, which might be a little closer than those malls.

I forgot to mention, if just moved into the area and are planning on making several large purchases, it would be worth it to drive the extra 10 miles to Nashua, NH instead of those other malls I mentioned. You'll find even more shopping there all along Daniel Webster (DW Hwy), and it's all tax-free.

Grocery stores -- when I lived near N. Acton, I shopped at the Market Basket in Westford (very close to north acton) and Trader Joe's on 2A in Acton. Forget the Donelan's on the Great Road -- it's more expensive than either Market Basket or Trader Joe's. For some supplements and natural food items, I went to the Whole Foods in Bedford -- just drive north on 27, make a right on 225 and follow it into Bedford -- not far at all.

Default The answer is...Leominster

In case you've yet to discover the shopping mecca a sweet ride twenty minutes west on the route 2, you'll find Macys, Penneys, Target, Panera, Sears, Circuit City and so much more! Begin at the Whitney Field Mall and have a fun!

Sincerely,

Jandrew
