I hear ya, bryfry. I live in the South and don't work with any Sox fans. I am the only one exhausted but excited in the office today. Most people I work with didn't even watch the WS.

Jordan's did take out an insurance policy for this though, not sure if the cost of that was $20M.

Generally they take out policies like that to keep them from going under if the deal does come true!!
I'm sure it wasn't $20M, problably a fraction of that. Jordan's funiture spokesman said the pay out was "their problem" (with a sly smile on his face!).

How much of a gamble was that furniture deal? You never know that far ahead of time how the season will play out. I guess the answer to the question of how big a gamble it was may have to do with how much really was covered by insurance. There must have been some insurance company executives getting nervous as the playoffs progressed.
