where do you live in new york? I'm moving to queens or brooklyn in the summer. After boston, worcester has the second highest abudence of paralegal jobs. So I would def. reccomend she start applying now. Also you can take the train from worcester to boston, no problem.

just map google boston-worcester, to find all the towns inbetween.
there are all the citys to live in. I'm sure you could fine some nice little town to live in.

I would think commuting to Boston from Worcester would be a hassle. 1.5 hrs by train and probably about the same or a little worse driving. If she gets a job in Worcester, my top recommendations for places to live would be off Salisbury St in Worcester (beautiful neighborhoods and you get a lot for your money compared with neighboring towns), Holden if you prefer something a little more rural, or Shrewsbury (particularly if you have children, as it has a good school system).

If your wife ends up working in Boston, there are several nice towns that would make an easy commute to Worcester and not bad to Boston. Southboro is my favorite in that area and there's commuter rail access and easy access to the Mass Pike/Rt 9/Rt 495. You can go to MBTA Commuter Rail > Framingham / Worcester Lines Schedules and Maps to see Commuter Rail travel times.

I guess it depends a lot on where you land for jobs and what you're looking for in a community, if you have kids in public school, budget, what amenities you're looking for, etc.

Hubby and I rented an apartment in Shrewsbury right on Route 9 (Imperial Apts) and loved the area. I worked on the Cape so I had to commute, but he was 20-30 minutes from Sudbury where he worked. Looking to move back there after selling house. Nice area. Very quiet, except on Friday nights when the football team was playing at the high school and the band was there to cheer them on! Brought back memories of High school foot ball nights.

Right now is a great time to buy in Worcester. You can look at Tatnuck, Burncoat, or (my favorite area because it's economical but nice) the Airport Hill area/Goddard Memorial Drive near the airport (some streets to look for are Ledgecrest Drive, Nutmeg, Parsons Hill.) There are plenty of law offices in Worcester as well and avoiding a commute would be a good thing. Boston is a beautiful city, but very, very expensive to live in and the traffic can be hairy.
