Hi,

I'm looking to learn a martial art to keep fit and improve strength while learning better self defense. Can anyone suggest a certified or traditional martial arts class near Westborough I could go to. I would like to bring along my kids also if possible (age6&7) but do not want to pay for a full year or monthly. We did look at one which seemed very expensive in Westborough as there was a membership fee and yearly contract?

Thanks

So you are ready to learn Martial Arts which requires incredible discipline, but you aren't willing to try it for at least a month? Just what a Sensei wants to see in a new student! Without commitment, you, nor your kids stand a fighting chance. LOL!

There is a traditional Japanese dojo in North Grafton that may be what you're looking for. My son and I have both trained with the Sensei, and the training is excellent. The training focuses on form and application which is important to us. Also, there are no yearly contracts, so if I don't train for a month while traveling, I
don't pay for the month. The dojo is tucked away at the side entrance of Grafton Crossings (in the plaza with Anzio's Pizza and Holy Cow Ice Cream) and there is only one small sign directing you to the entrance that says Karate. We usually go to the 7pm class, I think they start at 4:30 ish.
