Can you explain first what "Connecticutization" means? Do you mean many affluent suburbs and a handful of increasingly impoverished cities?

It's starting to look like a lost cause my friend. I've been eying ME for some time now, as it seems to be the last bastion of hope around here. Now I just need to figure out a way to survive up there.

Funny: I hear folks from Connecticut complaining about the "New Yorkization" of Connecticut. Everything like to try to blame their own changes on others instead of taking personal responsibility for their own choices.

I still don't know what it is either? The influence of New York on the SW corner of CT? Meaning an overload of well to do urban people who like to shop and are competitive and materialistic? Someone please explain.

I don't think anyone knows what he means and he hasn't come back to explain himself either.

I think that what the OP is attempting to describe is actually new yorkization that has gone so far into Connecticut that it's sticking out into Massachusetts.
