I recall you mentioned that you love living here (MA) in the beginning... I think you will find the same with AZ or CA. You'll love it there in the beginning... about 10 years from now... you'll find something negative about those places... best wishes in your venture...

i live in boston and can't wait to get out of here.taxes, crime, quality of life, real estate, winters, dirty city, people with attitudes, too many gray skies, school system, can i keep going on?massachusetts has changed so much in the last 20 yrs it's not the place i embraced when i first moved here.my wife and i are contemplating a move to a state that has better weather and nicer people.we've gotten to the point we're we just feel a bit run down from all the stress and low quality of life.

I thought Cape Cod is cool at first. I've never liked the Northeast as a whole though.

I was in complete agreement till you said school system. You are going to find out how much better MA is once you start looking at school systems in other states.
Good luck, ditto on everything else though ....

Each to his/her own. I've really enjoyed visiting the South and West but wouldn't care to live there. Southern CA is way too dry and brown for my taste. Nevada is....what? I don't know. I don't remember anything but Reno and I wouldn't move there either. Western WA is cool...Eastern WA, not so much. But I'm sure a lot of people living in those places wouldn't live anywhere else. More power to 'em, and more room for me up here in the Northeast

I really don't mean to knock the Northeast. I spent 29 years there but would never want to move back. I enjoy warm weather year round.
