I have a ton of great memories about my time in MA, but I was miserable there and just didn't know it until I left. How's the road rage there these days?

Road rage....in Boston? What's that? LOL
It's gets worst by the day!
I'm actually living in the suburbs...Andover, nice town. Being originally fromthe Caribbean it's quite a change.... I feel folks here tend to be cold ....not friendly....then again, we are known to be Hot...as in loud and rowdy. LOL

So, are you leaving? Or, did you just want to make sure nobody would read what I posted on the last page?

We escaped almost a year ago for the suburbs of Louisville and I wouldn't live back there for anything. That said- there are a *few* things I miss.
I miss my son- who is old enough that he decided that for now he should stay behind.
I miss friends and my in-laws- they are wonderful.
I miss *some* of the restaurants and museums.
All of those things I can visit without having to live there.
I have to agree with the earlier poster who said that their headaches went away, stress level went down and they became nicer people after moving out- it happened to both of us too.
And though I take my life and pride into my hands out here- I proudly sport my Sox and Pats gear all season. You can be a fan for life without living there- and going to games when the boys are out here is MUCH more affordable than Fenway or Gillette.

I grew up in MA and left to move to Phoenix in 1996. I have never looked back. People are nicer, more relaxed and seem happier out here. I never realized how misarable people in the Boston area were until I left. I could NEVER go back. I certainly do not miss the weather!! I love opening the blinds every morning to the sunshine, gardening all year 'round, wearing shorts all year.....
About the only thing I miss is......well no not really.....then there's....no kind of over that........hmmmmmmmm.
I do look forward to visiting in the fall...for a week or so...no more!

I will be back....
I was born and raised in Western Mass, recently moved to Tennessee because my fiance's job moved there. I was really excited to do it, I never pictured my life outside of MA. We have been down here about 8 months, and the winter down here was different. The only snow we got was a dusting, but the cold is colder down here. They say its the humidity down here. We are definitely talking about moving back. People complain about the snow and the winters, but if you have lived there a while you get kinda used to it, and at least in my opinion winter is not winter without snow. I guess I am just not ready to say good-bye to the north yet.
