Hello-
My family is moving to Boston from Las Vegas, Nv in January. We have 3 kids and want a good school system, a safe area with other kids, and convenient to stores. (Ie- target, costco, grocery) My husband will be working in downtown Boston. I've been looking into Winchester, Lexington, and Newton. Which of these areas would you want to live in if you could that meet the criteria? Or any other areas I should look into? Thank you so much for your help! I'm clueless when it comes to the east coast!

Those are 3 places are some of the most expensive areas in MA- you would probably happy with any of them.

My wife's cousin lives in LV. He works for UFC. From what I understand, LV (let's not even talk about the strip) is a very different place from Boston. Most people in LV are not from LV. Where are you from originally and was there anything about that place that particularly appealed to you?

The three towns you've mentioned are all very different in various aspects. Let's talk public transportation as one example. Newton is best served by far and has the T Green line, commuter rail stops, and bus service. Lexington is the least served by public transportation and basically just has some bus service. Winchester has a commuter rail station and might also have some bus service. It's really hard to decide on one until you've actually seen them in person. Are you working with a particular housing budget? Are you looking to rent or buy? What kind of house are you looking for? This is all useful information.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I actually recently listed a property for a C-D'er. It was this guy's condo in Brookline:

Agent questions/advice

I had it sold in a weekend for $45K over the asking price.
