I'm hearing some pretty bad horror stories about last night's commute. If you want to vent a bit about how bad it was for you, please feel free to share. Let us know how long it normally takes you and how long it took last night. Feel free to curse the snow, your boss for not letting you leave early, or anything else that will make you feel a bit better.

Well, I had to be in Boylston for a meeting, I live in Somerville. It took me 2.5 hrs from Boylston to Belmont (where I dropped of the car at relatives to keep it off the street), then another 1.5 to Somerville (bus at harvard didn't come for an hour (app tracker had it standing still)) and I had to re-route (back on red line to State, orange to Sullivan). So, about 4 hrs total.

Normally that would take about 2 hrs (1 hr / 75 min to Belmont).

45 minutes from Boston to Sudbury, but I didn't leave until 9pm. My wife on the other hand drove into Boston from Sudbury to meet me for dinner and took her 2.5 hours, lol. Bad for her, good for me.

This morning in my office I've been hearing 2-3 hours in general, no matter where you were headed. My buddy's commute was particularly strange: 3 hours from Needham to Somerville because he took local roads. If he took the Pike it probably would've been quicker.

Normally 15-20 minutes between Norwood/Westwood and Walpole - took 45 minutes last night on Rt. 1.

Still not a bad commute but if a 15 minute drive took me 3x as long I feel bad for anyone whose normal commute is an hour! I was pretty surprised that the roads were not sanded/salted better around here by 5 pm.

Having recently moved from Virginia, though, I can say that it was nice to see people taking this in stride and not losing their minds over a couple of inches of snow!

about an hour from South Station to Sharon. My husband on the other hand left work at 3PM and had to get the kids from daycare near Rt 128 sta which involved being on the highway at 2mph. He didnt get home till after 6. So today he will work late and I'll get the kiddos.

From fresh pond Cambridge to Winchester. Normally less than 20 minutes, but took 50 minutes yesterday at 6pm.

I left my Waltham office at 1:30 and it took 45 minutes to get back to Medford. I normally leave at 6 and it ranges from 45 minutes to an hour and 15.... but any other day at that time it would have taken half an hour.

Some coworkers left a half hour after me heading in the same general direction and it took them an hour and a half. The office closed at 3 so I can't imagine how bad it would have been a little later!
