My dad is an avid tea drinker, and I have taken an interested in the loose tea method of brewing recently. I am interested in making him a blend for his birthday this year, but I can't seem to find a shop in Metrowest that sells herbs/the raw plant, not capsules, liquids, or the pre made bags. Does anyone have any suggestions for herb shops in the region?

Have you been to Teavana? It's literally the Starbuck's of tea.

I was looking at it online and everything looked like it was pre blended.

Upton Tea Imports is located in Holliston- uptontea.com . It looks like it might be online only but you could always contact them and see what they can do for you. I've never used them and I only know about them because they're located next to my kids' pediatrician's office!

Teavana has blends but you blend them with other teas. For instance they have a youthberry white tea that is wonderful when blended with an orange herbal blend.

Kinda a schlep, but if you are ever in Providence Farmacy Herbs has exactly what you are looking for and a huge selection. I'm not sure if they ship or not, but they might be willing to do a custom blend for you and ship it.

I do occasionally go down to Providence with friends so I can check it out then. Actually when I looked online there appeared to be a lot of stores in Providence for what I was looking for. I can't believe there isn't anything similar in Metrowest with all the yuppies, hippies, and reformed hippies
