Commuter from Andover to Burlington :I know it's bad, but how bad is it?

Depending on where exactly you are coming from and going to, Andover to Burlington is only 16 miles and is not a bad drive at all. There are several options including highways and back roads.

A pretty good commute, should not be more than 15 or 20 minutes

that's great! so no traffic in the morning? VERY good news.
we are in lexington now and husband is 10 min from office but andover is one of the place we are considering for buying but i was scared of the traffic....

I don't know anything about that particular commute, but I'm very surprised you guys are saying there's no traffic in the mornings. I would've thought traffic would be horrendous heading into Burlington from all directions (128 South, I-93 South, Rt-3 South) in the morning, except for 128 North which isn't too bad from Lexington.

There is certainly traffic but it's manageable. As I mentioned above there are several alternate routes depending on where exactly you are coming from and going to.

I spoke with someone who lives in North Andover yesterday and they told me that it can be 1h or more in the morning. I guess it depends also what time you travel.
