Gill-Montague Schools underperforming
A news article in today's Union News says the MA Dept. of Education has given Gill-Montague schools until Jan 30 to come up with a plan, or be placed on the chronically under-performing list. Apparently the problems are even down to the elementary school level.
Greenfield was recently labeled a "dropout factory" by Johns Hopkins. Bullying is a problem there.
Franklin County Tech (located in Turners Falls section of Montague) is pretty minimal for academics and has bullying issues.
What do other parents/families in Franklin County do? Choice out? To where? Private school? Move to Amherst?
