To add to this mess, we have now received a quote for a DUCTED Mini-Split System. The proposal is to duct two mini splits. One would cover living/dining/kitchen/eat in addition on kitchen. and the 2nd would cover the 3 BR's and bathroom.

This would take care of the benefits of zoning (2 areas would be zoned) and the heating- this would provide heating to supplement our oil powered heat.

So I THINK this may be the best option to go. Anyone familiar with this type of AC?
