mass pike and natick mall are north of rt 9. natick center is south of it. there are only 2 ways to get to natick center from this area (27 and speen st) and both take 10 minutes minimum. the traffic at rush hour and during xmas season is definitely an issue. not unmanageable, but can get annoying.

my $0.02? west natick and "east" natick/weathersfield are more inexpensive and more blue collar. south natick has larger plots and more expensive homes, but the access to commuter rail and shopping are not as good.

the best part about natick is the downtown, so try to pick a spot that is "close" to downtown. this offers you the benefits of the downtown area as well as decent highway access. south of rt 9, east of speen street, north of 135 would be ideal

It's a nice lively area of the town although not as upscale as Wellesley Square. Very walkable, offers good connectivity to Boston (MBTA). The station is currently being revamped and connects to the rail trail. Although lots are on the smaller side and traffic can be issue during peak hours, especially at the intersection between 27 and 135. Roads aren't that great compared to surrounding towns/cities. Personally I like South Natick as lots are much larger and the area is generally very beautiful and scenic, especially around the Charles River and Broadmoor wildlife sanctuary (Mass Audubon).

If you look at a map, Natick Center is the area around where RT27 and RT135 intersect. What draws you to Natick Center? What is it you're looking for in a location? Perhaps, we can get you pointed in the right direction.

Agreed. The Natick Center area is fairly dense and there are also a lot of antique homes around the town center which is pretty typical around here. There are lots of very modern feeling neighborhoods in Natick to choose from if you budget extends beyond $1M.
