For those of you who get sick, make sure you're taking your vitamins! Of course it's not a cure-all, but ever since I started taking vitamins this year, I barely got the tell-tale cold at the change of the seasons that I always do. Also, humidifiers work wonders if you don't already have one. The dry air from just winter air and the heat makes you much more succeptable to colds.

Simple... 1-800-call a plow
Btw... Since you have no use for your snow blower... I'll buy your 12hp snow blower for $100....

Some thing like Airborne (which has lots of vitamin and zinc) works well before you get sick.

If you're already sick... Zicam...
Basically... Zinc... is an important element...

Wash hands--often--use lots of lotion to keep them from getting chapped.
I'm a hand washing Nazi and we are rarely sick in this family.

Talk to me in about four years and maybe I might feel different, but by then we can live wherever we want because my son will be at college. I actually can picture us staying here even then, just closer to the city. Enjoy the holidays everyone. Looks like it will be a white one!

Merry Christmas Puffle! I agree with you about CA and FL and places like that with what I call a mono-season. We ruled out somewhere like that just for that reason. Atlanta has 3.5 seasons. The trees lose their leaves and it has a semi-winter, where it gets below freezing sometimes at night, and it can even snow once every few years (although the place shuts down).

It's called Homeowner Association Fees, which I don't pay since I rent. I also don't have to pay for heat or water!

We have a long driveway so we have to hire a plow guy. The one we have now is pretty good, but I've had to fire 6 or 7 of these guys since we've owned the house.

I used to live in FL and CA for many years. I am so enjoying living in MA that I haven't begun to miss FL and CA yet. BUT...who told me this is going to be a warm winter?! Even summer in South Pole can be warmer than here.
