Default Relocating to MA from CT

I will be moving to the Boston area from Stamford CT for a job opportunity. I will be working in the financial district and we are focusing on towns that have good schools (children are 6, 4 & 2), close commuting distance, nice town center, lots of outdoor activity and a temple to join. We have narrowed our search down to 2 towns; Newton and Needham. I have done my homework on Newton, but can anyone provide some "real" information about Needham and how it compares to Newton? Everything you find on websites about these towns is so sterile. And finally if someone knows the area well, we found a house in the Chestnut Hill area of Newton and something near Needham Center, and so if they could compare these 2 areas that would be extremely helpful. Thank you SO much!

You can't go wrong with either town. Both are known to be the best towns to live in.
I don't live in either, so I canot give you details, I can't afford those towns, but I can tell that you will hear good comments about both. Good luck.
