Patapsco,
Sorry I didn't answer you! Abington train Station is about 15 minutes from where I am, in Hanover Center. You also get a lot of land in Hanover with the average house, more than Hingham, which is more populated.

Hope this helps! As it turns out, my husband just got layed off, so we will be moving ourselves...and we just moved here for this job...great economy, huh?

Good luck!

Thank you for the info on the train.

Best of luck to you guys. Where are you going to move back to? Or on-to?

Thanks so much for your help.

The white lights thing is only on Main Street. It is an historical issue, actually. The WASPS that used to line Main street originally used only white lights, and did not want the Catholics using colored lights. Even though people of all persuasions now live along Main street, the white lights at Christmas still prevail. My elderly neighbor who grew up in HIngham in the early 1900s was Catholic and could not even walk down the sidewalks of Main Street back then. This is not to malign anyone or deter anyone from choosing HIngham, I am merely stating historical facts and customs.

Kim,
Thanks for your good thoughts - we need them!

Possibilities (job-wise) are WI (cold!), OH & NY, but he is really trying to get something here...he is in a weird field, so we are limited.

Glad to help you....Hanover is a great place & schools are great...!
Good luck!
