I have a friend who used to live there. I see these fixer upper condos for under $40K and get excited. There is nothing in that price range in my home town of Tampa, not even a moldy shack. I am attracted to the fact that I could take the train to Boston. Does anyone think that this city is cool? I mean, why the heck are the prices for some homes so low? How about Athol? I saw a 5 bedroom nice house for 100K there. Forget the train, I want to have a library! What is life like in these towns?
Thanks |

$40K in Worcester? Wow, I would think that is likely to be a rather dicey area. There are some lovely parts of Worcester and some parts that are quite downtrodden. Where will you be working?

The job is not set in stone yet, but it will most likely be boston. I guess it did seem too good to be true as far as the price went. Most of the homes i found at that price were near the T stop.
