Hi New to the area, (Hopkinton, East of 85). I am only 2-3 miles from Ashland or the 495. I think Milford is more a 15 min drive, similar for Holliston.

I've been shopping at Price Chopper (Main Street near the 495) and while the store is nice, and they offer the Sunoco gas discount, it doesn't really offer enough for me in terms of whole foods, organic and produce. I am looking for a store with more selection, especially for natural/organic foods.

Some of the foods I typically buy (fresh salsa, crumbled goat cheese, certain brands of organic yogurt etc), the store does not even carry.

Any suggestions for other markets in the area? Is Price Chopper the only supermarket in Hopkinton?

Market Basket on 126 in Ashland is pretty good. Beware, it gets very busy there as their prices are usually pretty good. Also, compared to most supermarkets these days, walking into a Market Basket is like a timewarp into the 1970s, don't let this turn you off. The produce here is great.

There's a Shaw's up the street, and while their bakery is excellent, their produce section lacks and their prices are pretty high on non-sale items. They have a decent organic/whole/natural foods section. The deli and fish sections at Shaw's are far superior to Market Basket, too.

My weekly-ish food shopping trips usually entail stops at both stores.

If you're willing to go on a longer drive there's a gigantic Wegmans in Northborough that has pretty much anything imaginable.

I believe there's a Whole Foods not far from you as well. I can't recall it's exact location but my guess is that it's in Franklin or Bellingham. It's right off of 295.

I've had good luck finding such items at Hannaford. There's one near by you in Milford.

Bellingham - 495 @ 126. Next to a movie theatre.

There also is a Whole Food on 9 in Framingham, just west of the 9/126/30 confluence.
There is a Trader Joe's about 50 meters west, also on rte 9 - different strip mall, but there is only a side street between them.

+1
I drive there from the Worcester/Shrewsbury line. I've got friends who drive there from the west side of Worcester to shop.

Ahh yes, I meant 495. It's been a while since I lived down that way.

Wegman's is hugely popular and carries a lot of obscure brands as well as many organic products. I drive there to fill-in. Hannaford is my favorite grocery store.
