How much do you spend on groceries per month? Please also include family size, and where you shop.

Around $700, 2 adults 1 baby, usually shop at Market Basket, Costco, H-Mart, and very occasionally Stop&Shop.

We are also around $700 per month for groceries. We are a family of four--2 adults and 2 kids (3.5 and 1.5 years). I don't cook much these days, so we eat out at least 3x per week. I shop at Stop & Shop and Target.

We're at $725/mo (24-month running average) shopping mostly at Stop & Shop and BJ's for a family of 4. We generally eat out an average of 2x per week for both dinner and lunch and our restaurant bill comes out to $775/mo.

That means I spend about $18,000/year on food, or looking at it a different way, about $30k/year of my salary goes towards food.

EDIT: I just realized that includes alcohol so I feel much better now

Less than $200. Two adults in household. Shop based on sales, buy meat in bulk when cheap and buy little red meat. Most meals made from scratch. The s/o handles the grocery shopping, no way I could shop on that budget.

Shop at Roche Bros, Market Basket, S&S and Shaws. In that order depending on sales.

Probably $300 and mostly at Market Basket. We buy on sale when we can. Sometimes Shaws, sometimes a natural food store. We eat normal meals and no soda and eat out about once a week. Two retired people, three meals a day.

About $300-350/month for two adults plus one roommate who eats with us a couple times a week.

Mostly Trader Joe's, Stop & Shop, and Russo's, and occasionally H-Mart, Wilson Farms, and farmers' markets.

Pizza/takeout once or twice a week and restaurants about once a week aren't included in that budget. I bring lunch to work, but the other two buy theirs, so their weekday lunches aren't included either.
