Can someone tell me what time you need to get to Alewife in order to get a parking spot?

Also, I may need to start commuting to the Kendall/MIT area soon. I can either drive to Alewife and pay to park, which I believe is $7 a day and then take the subway or take a bus and a train from where I live.

Can someone tell me how much a bus trip is these days each way and how much would the subway be from either Alewife or Davis (my all MBTA option includes bus to Davis and then subway from Davis to Kendall).

I am trying to figure out cost vs time and comfort. Thanks!

For the cost of the bus service, you really should call up the MBTA. Go to their website for their contact information.

I've never had a problem finding parking at Alewife at all hours of the day, but others have reported it full by 8:30-9am. It really depends on the season and day of the week. All your other questions can be answered by going to MBTA.com > Official Website for Greater Boston's Public Transportation System and poking around the website.
