Plymouth has miles of a relatively desirable shoreline (and associated tourism). Peabody has a mediocre downtown which floods regularly. Am I missing something beyond the social economic diversity?

Well, Plymouth might be a better place for tourists, but I do not see how Plymouth is so much different than Peabody for families.
OK, maybe Plymouth is more similar to Salem...but Salem is not that different than Peabody either...

Salem has no comparison on the SS.
Can't think of any NS equivalents of Hanover, Marshfield, Pembroke, Abington, Whitman, Hanson, etc.
