quiet, rural, high tax, high housing cost, takes 15-20 minutes to a major highway, good school, liberal, ... my thoughts in no particular order...

I live next door to Sudbury and drive through it often. What is it that you are most interested in finding out? There are plenty of stores and it is right next to Wayland and Marlborough which also has plenty of choices for shopping. It's beautiful with great schools and close to Natick and Framingham. A little less to buy than Concord and hard to find rentals.

it would've been my first/second choice along with Wayland because of the schools, but we couldn't find any homes in decent shape in our price range ($450k and under). we ended up in natick in a smaller home than we originally wanted, but in the long run this will be better for us. we're going to pay $3600 in taxes on our 1600 s.f. ranch whereas in sudbury we would've paid probably paid slightly more (less than $50k more) for the same house and about $2000 more per year in taxes. we have much better access to retail and highways in natick, and the only thing we're missing is the better schools and bucolic environment in sudbury. it all depends on what's more important to you.
