Default Snow on Cape Cod!! Help!

My biggest pet peeve when it snows here is that these people who make the decisions around here are inept. They are horribly slow on the action taken for storms. They wait, and wait, and wait instead of actually going out there and clearing off the snow.

First, they send out sanders that just start to melt the snow. Now, that turns to ice underneath the rest of the snow that they waited to long to plow. So, when it actually comes time to plow, it's solid ice underneath and they can't get that removed. So, the roads are now iced packed, beating and banging the undercarriage of your car. This has been going on for the 25 years I've lived here. I just don't get it. Where I came from (upstate NY), the plows actually drop their blades first and then sand afterward only when the roads are clear and it's stopped snowing. These morons need to look at states like NH and the western part of the state. They know how to get it done.

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. I feel better now.

Honestly Cape Cod may be a part of New England but it usually (not always though) doesnt get that much snow. Many storms bring heavier snow inland leaving Cape Cod and Boston proper with just rain or a mix....meaning Cape Codders arent as prepared for snow as they are for say a hurricane.

That is completely true. The Cape gets mild winters compared to inland MA.
