Is Lynn a culturally diverse city to live in?
Anyone out there who knows anything about Lynn, Mass, in terms of safety, commuting to Boston and schools?
Is it culturally diverse?
Thanks for any feedback.

Lynn is culturally diverse. There are many areas you should not venture through. There is a lot of drug dealing/using in Lynn. But, much of the town is blue-collar middle class with decent houses. There are buses from Lynn to Boston or you can take the train. I assume some of the elementary schools are OK, but some people enroll their kids in parochial schools.

I haven't been around Lynn in a long time. There used to be a lot of Greek-American, Portuguese-American communities, noticeable African-Americans, and Hispanics more recently. Some of the people I knew there were Polish and Irish, too.

There are better places than Lynn that are safer and and diverse. It's not all bad. But it would be last on my list.

Lynn is certainly diverse, in that it has many immigrants from several areas and people of color, etc. Lately, I think it's heavily Hispanic. Lots of poor people, lots of drug rehab/sober house/etc. kinds of places. Lots of drugs. I think in recent years there's been an influx of Russian Jewish immigrants. It was more working-class when GE was operating full blast. Now I think it's pretty down at the heels.
What's the old saying?
"Lynn, Lynn,
City of sin.
You don't come out
the way you went in.
I would never live there.

There Is A Lot Of Ethnicity In Lynn. The Downtown Area Is Bad And What Most People Think Of Lynn. Outside Of Downtown Is Okay.
Cheaper To Live And Accessible To Boston But Watch The Location.

You'd have to ask the Swampscott, Marblehead and Saugus Girls but I think we were considered a little rough and tough.
Maybe it was that six-inch blade I carried in my pocket
