Looking for an ideal location to open a spa, within 45 minutes from Boston
I am looking for a Medium to High income town to open an upscale spa.
There are so many spas in Boston and outside of Boston. I am having a tough time finding an ideal location. If you think your town needs a unique upscale spa with top notch services at reasonable prices, then please advise me.

Funny you post this- I was looking to get my wife a spa gift certificate for Christmas and had no luck. We live in Ashland. There were tons of hair/nails places and a place that did medical treatments (botox etc), but no real nice normal spas.
Just a thought to check around Metrowest near 495- not sure if there is any competition right now...

NY'er - you might try:
The Spa at Nicholas Michaels - Northborough
Sherborn Day Spa - Sherborn
Also, I'm not generally a fan of Elizabeth Grady but Kim Carey at Elizabeth Grady in Sudbury is wonderful for facials.

10 miles... wow... Eastern MA... From Boston to Worcester is only 40 miles.
Boston to N. Andover is only 30 miles..
Boston to Lakeville, 40 miles..
I want to have the same criteria for a Chinese restaurant... anyone has any idea? (no Chinese restaurant within 10miles...)

No competition in 10 miles might work for rural NH, but not Central/Eastern Mass. I'm 10 miles from Boston and pass at least 10 spas just in the suburbs!
Also, why near a college? As a college student at one of the notoriously overpriced Mass private schools, even the wealthy kids don't have the expendable income to go to a spa unless it is very low priced or has student deals (the spas that friends go to give half off to college students). Your market probably would be best geared toward a more professional set.

Spa
You should make delicious healthy fruit smoothies, and also sell healthy organic bars and products, shakes, etc.
