Wait! I forgot Charles River Coffeehouse in South Natick Center. You could get a table in the shop, which is cozy, or if it's a nice day you could walk across the street to the park next to the falls and sit on a bench. Great setting.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I didn't know these places close at 5:00 PM. I plan to meet after dinner on a weekday so I'll have to find some other place to meet.

There's always the SB at the Barnes & Noble at Shopper's World. Perusing the reading selection is always a good fallback, if conversation is at a standstill. I, myself, love bookshop dates. I learn so much about someone from what they like to read.
Or you could always skip coffee and just go for a cocktail at the Dolphin, if you want to stick to Natick Center.

Good suggestions. I'll talk to her at bowling tomorrow.
Paul Bakery is good, and I might have heard there were two locations in Natick? There is one in the mall, near Crate & Barrel, I think, and the bakery is great, although it's in the center of the mall -- not an enclosed location, so if this were for some kind of quasi-date activity, I don't think the ambiance is there.
But if there is another enclosed location in Natick, I'd investigate that.
(I've been to the Paul location in Somerville, and to one in Bethesda, MD, and they would both be great places to get coffee. So if there is a Natick location like that, I'd recommend it.)
Consider Paul Bakery in Natick Mall. Decent coffee and pastries. This is a relatively small boulangerie chain that has locations in Paris, Brussels, and London. Good luck!
