^Great pictures! Where in Acushnet are those ruins? I grew up in the area but have never seen (or heard) of those.

They're the ruins of White's Factory--one of America's first cotton factories. It was first built in 1746, then it burned down and was rebuilt in 1831. I forget how I ended up there, but the internet says it's on Hamlin Street. I think it might be some well-kept secret because I spent the majority of my childhood in Acushnet and I'd never seen these ruins (or I have zero recollection) until I accidentally stumbled on them last year while I was driving around aimlessly to see my hometown one last time before I moved far away (I hadn't been there in like, 15 years, despite still living in the same state). It was a very cool thing to find!

My pictures are not near the quality of those posted here, but hope it is ok to post them anyway (and if you can recommend a good/decent digital dslr camera under 400$ and possibly with a lens, please let me know, thanks)
