I really love this thread. I spent so many happy times eating on the North Shore. So I decided to see if China Sails was still around. & stumbled on this website.
China Sails Restaurant Salem, MA
I remember my parents getting take out from it all the time long before the Village Plaza was built in Marblehead.

Another one I really liked was Weylu's. I'd eaten at the one in Saugus a couple times, but more frequently at the smaller restaurant in Salem in the East India Square Mall.

I do wonder my parents did love Arties' Fireside is Dedham, is it gone also? Me I did enjoy the Red Coach Grill long gone-

I remeber Joe & Nemos hot dogs in Downtown Boston. A quick dog after going thru Filene's basement & Jordan Marsh's basement. Woolworth's actually had a food counter too.

anyone remember the name of the Hingham restaurant right down the road from the old Aloha....i think it became Naked Fish , but i used to go there alot back in early 90's....just find myself trying unsuccessfully to remember the name!!! thanks!!

also to note--- Finnian's in Quincy closed 3 months ago....my mom used to take me there....very good food!!!

Skip's in Chelmsford...
York Steak House at Natick Mall, especially after Christmas shopping...
Brigham's and Bailey's (alas, here in Texas, we don't have any ice cream places like this!!)...
Play It Again Sam's (Comm Ave, Allston/Brighton) for $1.50 steak and cheese subs and movies
Pewter Pot Burlington (my parents would stop after shopping at Burlington mall)..
The Magic Pan...
Ruggles (loved the pizza, cole slaw and baked potato combo!!)

And, I know they're still open, but i miss T Anthony's pizza!!
