I went to the Rusty Scupper in the Amherst area a couple of times. There was also one in Boston.

I went to one in Connecticut once. I think it might have been in Stamford. It was a chain owned by Nestle's.

The Half Shell just a few blocks west of Copley Sq. on Boylston. Filthy's (!!) in Kenmore Sq. much beloved by residents of Myles Standish Hall. And on Newbury Street either between Arlington and Berkeley or betw Berkeley and Clarendon was a GREAT restaurant called .....something Tea Room-if they knew then what the rent is now they'd DIE TWICE and buy every building on the block.

How about Clem's Clams in Watertown?? The only place open in the early '70s til.....like 4 AM or so !!

Of course, I'm from the day in Boston when EVERY tv channel "quit" at 1AMish-nothing but white noise!

There used to be a Chinese takeout restaurant at Teele Sq in Somerville but then the laundromat next to it had a fire and burned both down. Don’t remember the name but I miss going there.

About 10-15 years ago, there was a small Taiwanese restaurant on a side street in the Allston/Brighton area. There was usually only one lady working there. I think she did the cooking and waitressing. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I used to go there all the time in college.

My parents always mention Augustine's on Route 1 in Saugus.

There's also the Saugus Hilltop on Route 1 too.

Only have strolled by over the years, but Daily Catch in the Seaport next to Barking Crab has closed.

Not sure when, but it saddened me. I'd walk by on a summer evening, and the patio and dining room was hopping. I wonder if a different restaurant will move in.

It has a great view of the harbor and the arch of Rowes Wharf and Boston Harbor Hotel.

...

I still miss Finale and their three desserteries, as I mentioned in the past. They told me at the Park Square spot they were closing abruptly just before New Year's a few years back, as I was a regular takeout patron, and they'd reopen in a few months in a very small spot on Stuart Street (?) near the MotorMart garage, I think -- but it never happened. Can I get their cheesecake or cookies via another establishment?
