Hi,
We liked a place in Ashland,MA. Right now we are two people and we commute to Boston and Waltham. The question is, is Ashland a good place to buy a home? Also, how will be the commute for us?

Yes and long - unless you can avoid the peak hours. Also, I'd avoid the Fram Rt 135/126 junction. That can take forever.
Can you take the commuter rail or do you have to drive in to work?
Also, I thought you were buying in Westborough. You really sound like you could use some help with your search. Have you thought about hiring a buyer's agent?
We are considering Westborough, northborough, ashland, southborough. But commute wise all three are farther than ashland. But I what to know how is the community/neighborhood in ashland?
Ashland is a friendly, country-like, laidback community. Not a lot of places to dine or go out at night, but some very nice places to take walks such as Ashland State Park if that is your thing. Even though closer to Boston than the other towns you are looking at, it is more exurban, less suburban than those towns.
You could probably get some good advice on here if you were willing to give us some details aside from the fact that you and your significant other both work and you have no kids. If you said where you're commuting to and what your budget is and provide some info about your lifestyle, we might actually be able to be helpful. Right now it seems you're just stabbing in the dark.

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed response, somehow i dont get any notification regarding the comments. Here are some more details about us:
We both are in our early 30's and currently living in Waltham and I work in Waltham, so my commute is very easy. My husband works in Boston and takes a train for commuting. We are currently looking for a house for around ~550K. Our major focus while looking for a house is, not to overcomplicate the commute. Lifestyle wise we both like to go out a lot, eat out and mainly like hiking or running trails around us.
