Default Questions on Mass. homeowners insurance

I recently moved to Mass. and got a replacement cost policy. The agent says that the company determines structure and contents coverage by square ft only. For a 2000 sq/ft home its insured for $396000 dwelling and $277000 contents. As far as contents,if they include all appliances, furniture, consumables, tools, furnace, etc .,it couldn't be worth more than $50000.The dwelling cost much less than $300000 since i just had it built. If I had a complete loss, are they going to pay me more than it costs to replace it?Any input would be appreciated.
