I've found generally when people go to this justification, and they're trying to find a reason for their non acceptance to be tolerable, they're pretty clearly in the wrong and they know it. It's never a good place to be to try to make hate palatable.

What was that lovely phrase, lipstick on a pig? Alt Right isn't different from White Nationalism which isn't different from White Separatists. They can define them as they wish, but a pig is a pig is a pig.

The truths.

1) Most of the European countries DO NOT have single payer health care.
2) Most of the European countries issue CCW permits(Even Britain). Guns are readily accessible.
3) Most Europeans do not speak a second language.
4) Most Americans are ignorant of the world.
5) Birth control is cheap. Yet, America thinks that it is expensive.

A strong argument can be made that the up front costs of birth control are far cheaper than the downstream healthcare costs of unwanted pregnancies and follow on welfare, medicare, etc.

They do have universal coverage though, if they do not.

My husband has been here from England for eight years. He says it's very hard to get a gun permit in England.

Right, but even with a prescription, if you work for a family owned business who objects to birth control (even for health reasons) due to their "religious beliefs", be prepared to shell it out of pocket. Ever hear of Hobby Lobby? It's happening, just not here in MA. The Supreme Court says it's legal it's also why I don't shop there. I think that's what they were talking about when they said the US was a little backwards.

As compared to MA, or the entire US in general?

MA gun permit process isn't exactly a cake-walk either depending on what town you are in.

To you and I it might be cheap, but to someone on low income, or in poverty, $40 bucks or so is a lot of money.

As a poster said in another thread, some people down on their luck are willing to do extreme things for $40.
