You don't have to go to Boston to find stupid behavior. My commute to Hyannis every morning is an exersize in watching stupid people. And I only drive 8 miles each way!

BTW puffle, you have your location wrong.....what you describe there is New York or New Jersey. What you need to say is "Where you pahk ya cah" The "r" is an "ah" sound. You spelled out my NY accent where the "r" is an "aw" sound. Trust me, they thought I talked funny when I came here 25 years ago. Half the time I couldn't understand them. I kept having to say, "Pardon me, could you repeat that?"

Default Wow!!!... price to learn how to drive!!! and they have the highest accident rate?

A driver's ed advertisement I saw...

Students will learn good driving skills and qualify for significant insurance reduction with this course, offered by Driving School, which is approved by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. The program includes 30hours of classroom instruction, 12 hours (new law as of September 1, 2007) behind-the wheel training, and 6 hours observation.

The $663.00 fee includes the cost of the course, observations and driving hours, as well as the cost for the Registry Certificate. A payment Plan is available.

When I moved here I was shocked at how people don't know how to make a u-turn or turn left on a divided highway when not at a light. The U.S. drive-on-the-right-side-of-the-road rule is apparently suspended for Massh*l*s in these instances...

I had a friend who lived in Medford who used to drive on the Green Line tracks to get around traffic.

Do you mean people who take a left from the right lane? Yeah, happens all the time. Incredible. I've never seen people drive like this anywhere else. Except in Europe--France and Italy, in particular. When I lived in Paris, I actually saw people--on more than one occasion--try to squeeze into a parking space by pushing the car in front of them out of the way to make more room in the space. People are stupid.

I like how some people get on the highway and go straight to the left lane even with nobody in the right lane. You end up passing on the right more than the left sometimes.

It's so common here Puffle, that it actually has an official name: "Banging a left"

Find this book: "Wild in the Streets", a commentary on the institution of Boston driving. While written tongue-in-cheek it is nonetheless, the reality of driving around here.
