Mass Drivers..Now I Get It!
Never really thought much about what people have said on these threads concerning rude Ma. drivers....until recently. Is there some sort of unspoken rule among drivers here where making a left turn right in front of someone going forward is acceptable?? Coming from Los Angeles I thought I had seen my share of rude and stupid stunts on the road, but these abrupt left turns are not only rude but incredibly dangerous just to gain a second on a turn.

Well, I certainly feel that way when they cross in front of me! Is this just a Ma. thing or what? Believe it or not, I never had this happen in Ca.

It's classic when you see someone chatting up a storm on their cellphone- nearly getting creamed with oncoming traffic and then cutting you off and waiving like- it's okay to risk everyone's life.
Gotta love it- that's why I keep my distance from those freaks up here.

I just freak out now when the light turns green and I'm ready to move forward when the person on the other side just wisks right in front of me!!!! It's bad enough getting use to driving in the snow!!

Puffle,
I know that you & I are in the same boat, too. We both have teenage sons who will soon become MA drivers. As terrifying as it is to identify these new driving tactics, at least we have enough driving experience to predict when some clown is going to pull out in front of us or run the light. But a 16 year old kid (especially boys...) lacks that experience altogether. It sickens me to think of them driving with such a complete lack of rules. I am a big believer that we have enough pain-in-the-A$$ rules in our daily lives...however, rules that pertain to 2-ton vehicles are a good thing. Just my two cents...I feel better now.

Had to drive to Boston today and witnessed every conceivable driving misbehavior, including unsignaled lane-shifting by trucks (who, according to roadside signs, are not supposed to stray into the far left lane, but they do anyway). I used to think that we needed those "Drive Friendly" signs like they have in Texas until I finally realized that no one would read them.
