Our own trade agreements often sabotage the other countries' efforts to improve their economies.

Take Mexico. They can produce corn, but the US Gov't subsidizes corn and then our farms dump some of it into Mexico at rock-bottom prices. Yay NAFTA! Corn is not the only good like this, I'm sure.

Then there aren't as many jobs available in Mexico, and the residents come to America seeking work. Plus, the dollar is worth more than the peso, and so when these immigrants send American money home it becomes more valuable. This is the case with our cleaning lady and her relatives in Brazil (I know, different country).

If we put a fraction of that wasted industrial complex money into our own country and remove the wasted profit in our health care system, we would be a juggernaut. But that doesn't help the stock market or the super wealthy.

One of first thing this Republican boob Trump did? Cuts to the Veteran's Administration.
This reads like a truncated version of "War is a Racket" ... not that the original is a terribly long read.

Where do people come up with this stuff? I swear some people like to make stuff up out of thin air. Although our public schools are so bad, privatizing the worst ones couldn't do much worse. Not a lot of learning going on in a lot of them.

Yep. People with graduate degrees and high school dropouts are more likely to vote liberal/democratic. Too little education and too much are both a bad thing.

Correct. That's how it should be. That's how it is in pretty much every other country on the planet. Even in countries that have historically been open to immigration such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

It's the 21st Century. We want educated immigrants only. Low skilled immigrants are not a net benefit to our economy and society. Sure, they save employers money, and provide votes for the Democratic Party, but then the taxpayers end up subsidizing the difference with health care, schools, welfare payouts, etc. They end in low wage jobs, drive pay rates down for low skilled jobs, and end up being a drain on the tax base.

Furthermore, the real goal with massive immigration (not just in the U.S., but everywhere) is to have every country look like every other. It erodes support for the sovereignty of individual nation states. That way the global elite can more easily push for a global government dictatorship (disguised as a democracy, of course).
