States with the highest educational attainment are iheavuly blue, while conservative states are usually the lowest. I'm not trying to sound elitist. It's just a fact. Educated people are just used to thinking outside the box.

Why would it not be "crazy crowded" if we made it easier for such folks to come in??
Because natural forces are at play (supply and demand in this case) like they always are. There's always an equilibrium and if the decline in immigration from places like Mexico is any indicator, we're not far off. 1 Billion people aren't going to just show up here if there aren't jobs for them. Frankly, people are going to come here regardless of whether or not you make it easier for them until there's no benefit. That's why we have millions of undocumented workers in the first place. The whole war on immigration thing is about as effective as the war on drugs. People are doing it illegally, and they'll continue to do it illegally no matter how hard you fight it. At least with immigration there are ways to make it more beneficial for our country.

There have also been multiple studies showing a direct correlation between being more liberal with both higher educational levels AND with higher IQ levels.

This is true on both counts, and it bears out in public debate. Hardline conservatives are intelligent enough to know when they're being called dumb, but not intelligent enough to prove they're not dumb by processing complex information and weaving it into their worldview.

So we get threads like this - high on emotion, short on logic, and filled with people who can't be bothered to back up their posts with anything resembling facts.

My theory is this country has no right, to put all these immigrants before its own people. You can't take care of others, if you can't take care of your own. This country has not been taking care of its own for years now. Yet this immgrant business seems to top our own internal problems. How about actually fixing our disgraceful healthcare insurance problems. Our broken school systems and decrepid roads and infrastructure in this country. Tackle all the violence and the reasons Americans can't afford housing, food and medicine.

It's fine to help all these immigrants. Help them fix their country instead of bringing more problems here. The Boston mayor has alot of gall to make such comments. When many in his city native to the region, work 2 jobs to afford to live where they are from.

Enough is enough. Just the fact a country a state allows all these illegals to set up housekeeping says it all. It's a disrespect for authority and laws that govern the USA. I have always voted Democratic but I voted for Trump over this issue. I still would have if I still lived in Mass. None of us could go into a country, and make a home for ourselves illegally. We would be kicked out.

Carr: At Marty Walsh

Right right liberals are so so smart. The rest of us are just beneath for not thinking the same way you do.

Youre selfish.

I'm afraid Mayor Walsh has made himself a target with his defiance.

They don't try to prove they're not dumb, they manipulate, they have "alternative facts" and feed them to the nimrods out there so they vote against their own interests and the interests of the country.

Then the liberals feel the need to say, oh but we're smarter than everyone else. Really we are.

Wait, you're citing Howie Carr? One of the biggest morons out there? He's a parody. Who are you going to cite next, Rush and Glenn Beck?

Holy crap.
