Default Help finding good school system in NE MA.

I am currently living in Billerica, Ma. and my husband and I are looking to move to a town that we feel may have a better school system. We have two boys that will be getting ready to enter the public school system and we would like to place them in one that is above average. We are looking to spend between $650,000.00 and and $750,000.00. Can anyone suggest anyplace?

Thank you

What is your definition of better school system?

At that price, you can go into 98% of good school system... the real question is what kind of a house do you expect to get for that money. In some town, a 2 bedroom condo, 3 bedroom cape or 4000sq ft colonial?

Off the top of my head, I'd say some of the best bets are: Andover, Hamilton/Wenham, Marblehead, and the Masconomet (Topsfield, Middleton, and Boxford) district. Of course none of these towns are renowned for their inexpensive houses, lol, but your price range could be accommodated, nowhere more so than in Middleton.

In your current "back yard," the schools of either Concord/Carlisle or Acton/Boxborough would deliver good bang for the buck. Your housing dollar would go appreciably farther in the latter district.
