Hi, yes the home is on the northern side of Plymouth near exit 6 and 5 as those exits are very close together, i understand you not wanting to go to south Plymouth because some of the homes in the ponds of Plymouth or down by exit 2 and 3 are a good 15-20 minutes further down route 3, that is what put me off buying down there when i was looking initally.

In terms of the house, i was just in the middle writing the listing sheet to put it on the market but I would be willing to consider a 2 year lease for the right tenants, what time frame would you be looking to move in ?

Take a look at the listing i was just working on, if your interested feel free to give me a call (numbers of the listing sheet).

Oh, I love this house! You did a beautiful job renovating it! Unfortunately,we need more than 3 bedrooms, we have 3 kids. Thank you so much for your helpful responses and letting me see your listing. Im sure it will be snatched up quickly. Good luck and thank you again.

You have done a great job on that house, jas. You forgot to mention that it is walking distance to Plymouth North HS. Or did I miss that? (I went to HS there when it was Plymouth-Carver HS) Whatever, great job on the house!

Jendow, I grew up in Manomet. What year did you graduate? I graduated in '70. Maybe we know each other?

Hi there,

My hubby grew up in Plymouth and I grew up in Carver (right next door). We'd like to move back to one of those two towns (we currently live on the Cape). But the one thing that gives Carver a boost over Plymouth is the school is better. Plymouth schools have been over crowded for sometime and I'm just not entirely impressed with them. Of course, most towns are actually at this point with public schools so you might want to look into private like you mentioned.

As a whole, I love Plymouth and Carver. Love the waterfront, downtown, beaches, the people... but I'm biased having grown up there. It's the only place that feels like "home" to us.

Grew up in Carver (next to Plymouth) and hubby grew up in Plymouth. If you want beachy, small, friendly Manomet is a good place. Hubby grew up there and loved it (I've been visiting there since about age 13 and I agree). Lots of families and little neighborhoods. Sometimes it's hard to find a nice house as a lot in that area tend to be beach cottages (or little ranches) but you can find some. We have lots of friends still in Manomet and they like the elementary schools.

Chiltonville (exit 5 in Plymouth, by the hospital) is GORGEOUS. Rural with farmland but close to the beach and downtown.

We had our first apt in North Plymouth and were nervous because it used to be known as the more "ghetto" part of Plymouth. But it was nice to live "in town" and be able to walk to places and little corner stores. We kind of miss it! If you have an option you could always check out Carver. It's not on the beach but there are several ponds, the schools are good and it's a nice rural town.
