Scroll down for all the schools. Some surprises there.

Looks like the usual bunch to me. Don't recall seeing Latin Academy that high before, however.

I don't put much stock into these rankings, and US News I take less seriously than most.

These ratings are really kind of ridiculous. It's bad enough that they rate the colleges the way they do, but high schools - especially public high schools is just not very meaningful.

Arlington at 12. Amazing progress over the last 15-20 years. These ratings are subject to justifiable concerns, but in general, they give people some basic ideas of the better school systems in the state.

I agree. I thought the list made sense for the most part. A good number of charter and private schools made the top 50.

I'm surprised that some of the schools you see constantly mentioned on this forum didn't make the top 10. And then you have Medway. I know where Medway is but I bet most people here have never been there

I thought Medway has always done well on these rankings. Framingham High has been doing real well for a few years as well, good for them...

Even with all the bad publicity in the news recently, Boston Latin is number 1?

I'm actually happy for Latin Academy though. They deserve a high ranking because the kids there are just as talented as BLS. They just don't want to compete fiercely with each other for some overrated class rank like BLS kids and that's all right by me.
