Default Commuting To UCONN

I am an incoming grad student who really wanted to go back to Boston but it looks as if I am going to have to go to UCONN.

Ideally if this is what I must do....I'd like to know if it's possible to live somewhere that would place me in range to commute to Storrs, CT without hassle but allow me good access to Mass.

I'd also like a town/city that is nice, affordable, and a good place for a mid 20s guy like Boston is.

Are there places like this in MA, like Worcester...or is that a slum...and if so other suggestions?
Thanks.

bluecountry,

Go to UCONN's offcampus housing website. You'd be better off just living on off campus (or on if you'd like). UCONN has really good access to Mass. If you move off campus, you'd like most of the apartment complexes. A few years back, Mansfield was recognized by having the second largest population with youth in their 20s behind Blacksburg, VA. Its not a bad area, you just have to get used to it.
