Wror, did you even read the minutes? No one in the article, selectman or resident, is opposed to the shop. They are opposed to the location as an infrastructure concern.

Please, apply some critical thinking - this is not a anti-marijuana movement.

Let us know what Brockton ultimately decides. That is the only decision that will directly impact you.

Excellent question. The links provided by the poster very often don't support the point they are trying to make. It is odd.

Martha’s Vineyard....... Nantucket

December 5, 2018
"it’s unlawful to bring marijuana or marijuana products to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket"
"There are only two ways to get to Martha’s Vineyard — by air or by sea — both of which are federal zone"
“All Coast Guard officers will enforce federal law"

Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are both in state waters, not Federal, and one does not need to cross through Federal waters to reach either.

But it's certainly possible to cross federal waters while en route to either, and many do.

Oh of course. A chunk of Nantucket Sound, if I recall correctly, is Federal waters. I just said one does not "need" to.

The other thing is that Coast Guard can pretty much board any boat they choose. If they come across it, they pretty much have their hands tied even if the boat stayed within state waters.

Hopefully discretion is in their dictionary.
It would aid them in their primary function for such boardings, which I would presume are primarily safety inspection related.
