American Airlines will fly out of Worcester Regional Airport; daily flights to Philadelphia - News - telegram.com - Worcester, MA

American Airlines announced yesterday that would be starting a flight form Worcester to Philadelphia in October. Times are a little odd and would have liked at least 2 flights per day. With service to JFK starting in May it is nice to some more activity at the airport.

I have taken the Orlando flight at least 5 times & FLL once & they are great. I do live in the City so having a 10-15 minute ride home after a flight has been wonderful. Hopefully the new landing systems entices more carriers. Would love to get a flight to BWI or DCA in the future

That's really good news. I would love to be able to utilize that airport if I could. I hope they add more destinations.

We fly to the Savannah airport whenever we visit our daughter who lives there. Savannah is a smaller city than Worcester and they are always adding new carriers. I hope the same thing happens with your airport.

I was a little disappointed in Philly. I was hoping for Atlanta. Oh well it's a step in the right direction at least. Although I will say since I live very close to the airport, I could walk there, I am a little nervous about adding more flights.

I was looking at the prices for the JFK flights. They are very affordable. I will definitely be using them.

Is it operated by American Airlines or American Eagle? I'll only fly it if it's a true AA flight operated by American Airlines itself.

PHL is an American hub. If it were Delta, it would have gone to ATL

American also has a hub at DCA, so maybe they can add flights there easily?

I know but they had not announced which airline it would be in advance. I was hoping but alas no.
