Default Question About Norton

I was recently at an open house (not in Norton) and I overheard the realtor and a prospective buyer discussing Norton. One of the things I heard was "it is a shame because it used to be a nice town." Apparently, the prospective buyer is looking to get out of Norton.

I grew up in Norton and I remember it being a nice town with a good school system. Does anyone know what they could be referring to as being a shame? Has it gown down hill in the last 15 years or so?

Thanks

Norton has had a problem with failure to pass overrides, a lot of criticism of the various town boards, that sort of thing. Basically infighting between various groups there. There may be other reasons why you heard what you did besides the financial problems the town has.

All towns have some issues every now and again. Norton is a great small town that is still affordable, and, from what I understand great community. I don't live there, but know people who do.
