Default Stoneham?

I searched and haven't found much information on Stoneham on this forum. The crime data makes it look better than Medford but worse than Melrose.

Doesn't seem like the schools are as good as in Reading.

Any thoughts on Stoneham compared to neighboring towns, Reading in particular

I lived in Stoneham for a year about 20 years ago. At that time it was building up and it had a nice downtown area and a solid police force. I would compare it then about the same as Reading. It was a big cut above Medford and Melrose at the time and a different world from Somerville.

Have you tried this link yet?

I definitely wouldn't say Stoneham has more crime than Melrose. Probably pretty much the same or maybe even a little less.

I like Stoneham. I like Wakefield and Reading better. But overall I think Stoneham is pretty good. I would pick it over Medford and Melrose.
