Springfield Pizza
Can someone tell me where else one can get a great pizza in Springfield other than Red Rose? That restaurant is overrated. It's lighting is WAY too bright, I feel like I am in a public library when i go there. The pizza is ok, but not THAT good. Years ago the Lido over near the police station sold what i think was one of the best pizza'a around, but they have since removed pizza from their menu. I am looking for a brick oven pizza where one can go with a date, or perhaps with a buddy after partying. Is there anything within 10 minutes of downtown? Many thanks to all who answer.

there is a brick oven pizzaria somewhere in Amherst and I cannot remember the name..it was near UMASS.
I looked it up it is Bertucci's.
Not a good sit down and eat place at all, but Paramount Pizza was the favorite delivery for both the hospitals I worked. They have pretty good food, and deliver till 2 am.

That is for sure metaljaybird LOL!
I grew up spoiled on the pizza from the Bronx and better yet, in my own livingroom with grandma's secret recipe.
I look at pizza as being two different catagories. #1 - Pizza made within 50 miles of NYC and #2 -pizza made elsewhere...
For #2 winner, I had pizza at Lido's before and it was probably the best I'd had in that catagory. Too bad they no longer serve it.

Pizza
New Haven pizza is rated no. 1 in the USA by the Food Channel. Sally's and Pepe's. BUT, many, many pizza places can match New Haven pizza.
Too bad there is nothing in downtown Springfield.

Best Pizza in Springfield
There arent many pizza places in springfield where u can go sit down in the restaurant and have a nice dinner.
but there are many good Pizza Shops in Springfield and I am an expert on Springfield Food.
I was born and raised in springfield, I've never left. I'm really from springfield. the real springfield. unlike most of the people on here that think they experts on it. because they work here or drive thru it occasionally.
Plus I smoke mad weed. so U know I know my junk food.
So here it goes. the best pizza in the Field, as long as you not scared to really come here is...(drumroll please)
MJ's. on worthington street.
hands down best pizza in Springfield. believe that.
runner up to Siano's on boston road. (U can sit down in there and have dinner)
and Primos on worthington st.
thank you thank you. now go enjoy
