Default best hospitals outside of the city?

What are the best hospitals outside of downtown Boston? for adults? children? Are there urgent cares outside of the city?

My wife is thinking about taking a position at U-Mass (Memorial Campus) in Worcester; I know it is a great facility.

How far outside are we talking? Immediate suburbs? NY/MA border? Somewhere in between?

Newton-Wellesley is a trauma center (likely because it's so close to 128).
Emerson in Concord certainly has a good reputation. A lot of staff and doctors who were in Boston downtown hospitals when younger have moved out to the suburbs and are staffing more suburban hospitals.
Then again, most people don't need the tertiary care of the downtown big hospitals. Still, if I had cancer (a family threat) I'd like to know that Dana Farber is nearby in Boston. Or Mass Eye & Ear for some specialized problem.

I wouldn't go to UMass Memorial if my life depended on it. I've driven right past it to get to Boston for life threatening conditions, but that is just the opinion of a few.

Newton Wellesley is top notch. Their maternity wing is partnered with Brigham & Women's. The facility is amazing- probably one of the best hospitals I have been in.

What towns are close enough to use Newton-Wellesley? Is this a good hospital for kids? Are there after our urgent cares in the suburbs? Just wondering where you could go after hours if it is urgent but not an emergency. Thanks so much. Good to know that Newton Wellesley is well liked.
