Default Can someone recommend a good ENT

I'm not having much success. I went to a group practice on the North Shore and then to Metro West Medical. I even tried MA Eye and Ear but I think I didn't get a good doc there because he was arrogant and unhelpful.

This is a long term chronic sinus infection that never really completely goes away even with antibiotics. My oral surgeon and my pcp both think the sinuses are not draining and that an ENT would aspirate first to see what micro organism could be causing the infection and then if that's no help, I would have surgery.

So far I have had doc #1-- There's nothing I can do. doc #2-- You women and your aches and pains. doc#3-- You have a sinus infection, I'll give you antibiotics and you should get a cat scan.

I've had antibiotics and cat scans before but I went through it again and now he wants to do surgery. I want to get this aspiration that I've been told about and then surgery if that's no help.

Am I on the wrong track, asking for aspiration first? Are there any ENT's who really care and if so, who are they? I would really like to get a good first hand recommendation from someone because looking in the yellow pages really isn't getting me anywhere. Thanks in advance.

I have an incredible one. He is out of Mass Eye and Ear with two offices...one in Quincy (Crown Colony) one in Weymouth.
His name is John Lazor..I have had about 5 visits to him . He is thorough and one of those people you are very comfortable with and trust him immediately.

Here is his info if you are interested.....

John B. Lazor MD,MBA,FACS
500 Congress Street Quincy and 875 Main Street S. Weymouth (worth the wait)

617-774-1717

Good Luck!

THANK YOU! I'm realizing that the ones you can get in to see within a few days probably are not the best -- I'd go with someone like you describe who is worth the wait.
