Probably easier to tear down and build a new construction.

It's already listed as a two family in the assessor's report and it was listed as a 4-6 family in the same report back in 1988. The entire street is multi-family and most are condos. It would require some paperwork and isn't much of an impediment.

Saw that DCU has a ARM recalc period of every 6 months. That seems excessive.

With the location and that carriage house / office in the back I can easily see them having no problem selling that. Thats a fabulous location and property.

Oh i didn't even notice that carriage house...that's pretty cool. You could charge someone rent to live there.

How about this one in Chelmsford. Developer bought the original SFH last year for 550k (looked it up), then went to work building a brand new 'Townhome' attached to the first unit in the backyard.

Neither unit is selling and the original has had 3 price cuts already although the listing makes it sound like that you wouldn't be able to move in yet so I'm not sure what they were expecting.

What the heck, they attached another unit to it? So weird. Who is responsible for mowing the lawn? Why didn't they just build two separate SFH?

They might be expecting this to be an investment property
