Default Does anyone live in Boston and commute to the Metro West?

I'm wondering if anyone out there lives in the city and commutes to the Metro West. I may be moving back to MA and taking a job in Framingham. I have always wanted to live in the city and would like to live in the Prudential area/Back Bay and commute the 21 miles to work. Does anyone currently do this or know anything in regards to traffic or if there is any and also what their take is on living in the Back Bay. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

I have a friend who lives on Newsbury St & commutes to Framingham and she said it's really not bad at all because she's going against traffic. Unfortunately there aren't a ton of trains that run "outbound" into Framingham during commuting hours but there are a few, and driving should be pretty easy if the train schedules don't work out for you.

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering how the commute would be. Living in Boston is something I have always wanted to do so I figured if I take the job and lived in the city I would be going against traffic both ways. Plus, 21 miles isn't bad.

Default Boston to Framingham

I commuted from Brookline (Coolidge Corner) to Framingham (Metrowest Hospital) for a couple of months a few years ago. Going via Route 9, traffic into Framingham was never that bad; it was probably a 40 minute drive door to door. Coming home, there was sometimes traffic, so it was a 40-60 minute drive from Framingham to Brookline.
If the Sox are playing at home, that will add to the commute back from Framingham.
Overall though, it should be a doable commute for you.
